GET FEATURED IN THE SERIES

Case For Cannabis is an educational series focused on exploring the Cannabis Industry from all sides.  We want to hear from entrepreneurs and industry leaders in the space, scientists and doctors exploring the medicinal and agricultural properties of the plant, policy makers and politicians, bankers and financial institutions.  If you have a valuable story and knowledge to share we want to hear from you and potentially feature you in an upcoming episode.

FINDING A PROGRAM

California is home to 115 Community Colleges, that reach every corner of our great state.  If you are interested in learning more about short term certificates and degrees related to the Cannabis Industry please sign up here and a representative from a Community College that offers courses in your specified industry will reach out.

GET PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Hemp has exploded into a multi-billion-dollar industry and is expected to experience continuous growth. However, as seen in many other industry sectors, cannabis producers and retailers face labor shortages. They also have complex needs, questions and concerns about attracting, training, developing and up-skilling their employees' skills.  One of the key priorities for the Regional Directors, Employer Engagement for the Bay Region is the creation of a cross-sector initiative between three sectors: Agriculture, Water & Environmental Technologies, Entrepreneurship and Business, and Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism that is focusing on workforce development to support these industries.

Region specific tours are being planned to provide CA Community College Administrators and faculty members a professional development opportunity to learn more about the legal cannabis and industrial hemp industries. Guided tours will be offered to demystify the industry and will include industry visits to gain an understanding of the manufacturing, cultivation, retail, marketing and logistics side of the responsible cannabis and industrial hemp industries.
